If everything is in order with fantasy, then cool home-made products can be made from the most ordinary things. And a striking example is the luggage suitcase from a metal canister with a capacity of 20 liters (in this case, you can use both steel and aluminum).
It is best to make such a suitcase from a new canister, but you can also take used as a basis, which has already been used for storing gasoline. But it will have to be washed well from the inside to get rid of the “fragrant aroma”.
The step-by-step process of making a suitcase
We cut the clean 20-liter canister with a grinder in half, then cut off the unnecessary parts and grind the inner surface with a brush-nozzle for angle grinders for metal. Then we remove the folding suitcase handle with wheels (or buy a new kit) and try it on one of the halves of the canister.
We degrease the inside and outside of the canister, after which we paint with spray paint from a spray can (inside you can paint with black paint, outside with red paint). Then we cut the guide racks of the handle to the size and screw on the screws to the half of the canister.
We attach a rubber sealant to the silicone and install two loops (you can use ordinary furniture). As a sealant, you can use a flexible hose of suitable diameter, which must be cut along one side.
On the side of the canister, we drill holes for fastenings and install standard suitcase latches. We fix the lid on the neck with a “check” so that it cannot be opened. As a result, we got a rather capacious original suitcase for luggage. See the main assembly steps in the video.
