We are all used to the fact that the shelves in the toilet are mounted mainly on the wall, but the author came up with a more original solution - to install it on the toilet bowl. It looks very unusual and original.
At the same time, such a shelf allows you to get additional space for storing various jars and accessories. However, it should be noted that this option is suitable mainly for tanks, in which the button is on the side.
If the drain button is built into the lid of the toilet bowl, but you want to make yourself such a shelf, then you will have to slightly change the original design.
The main stages of work
First of all, you need to prepare a piece of the board of the right size and a small wooden rail. In the workpieces, the master makes grooves of a rectangular shape (in the board - deaf, in the rail - through).
At the ends of the blanks on a circular saw, it is necessary to make cuts. You will also need to file thin lamellas, which will then be inserted into these cuts.
At the next stage, the lamellas are glued into the cuts in the board, and after the glue dries, the master cuts the core. After that, you will need to file small bars and make a recess in them so that they fit snugly on the lid of the tank itself.
Then it remains only to glue all the details and cover the finished shelf with varnish or soak the wood surface with mineral oil.
