However, the author decided to use not only wood, but also leather (although only for interior decoration). Wooden wallet looks unusual, and at the same time it is very convenient to use.
The author uses an ordinary leather wallet as a template. And first, you will need to "take measurements" from the old wallet, and then you need to select the appropriate size of the wood blanks (you can use oak, maple, acacia, walnut or others).
The main stages of work
Two pieces of the right size should be cut from a piece of the board. Then the workpiece must be sanded. The edges can be rounded if desired.
The author connects two tablets with a thick strip of leather, so that the wallet opens. Then, on the planks themselves, on the inside, stick pieces of skin cut to size. A pocket for money is also made of leather.
At the last stage, in the planks, you need to drill holes along the contour, and then flash it with a thread. On the outside, the planks can be coated with wax or mineral oil.
