In this review, the author decided to show how to make a do-it-yourself device for planting potatoes in the country with your own hands. For the manufacture of this homemade product, small trimming of the profile and round pipe will be required.
The essence of the device is very simple: we stick “shovels” into the ground, we throw potatoes between them, and then with the help of handles we push them apart. The tuber itself falls into a cone-shaped hole in the ground, after which we fill it with earth.
First of all, it is necessary to cut the workpiece of the desired length from the profile pipe with a section of 80x80 mm. It must be marked, and then cut into two parts diagonally.
The edges of the resulting two triangles must be cleaned with a grinder and a petal grinding wheel so that there are no burrs.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it is necessary to make fasteners from pieces of metal and bolts, which the author welds on the sides of the triangles from the profile.
You also need to weld pieces of a round pipe of the required length to the "blades" - these will be the handles of the device. They must be cleaned from rust.
