For quick cutting of foam at home, you can use a homemade cutter made from pieces of PVC pipes and nichrome wire. Please note that if high precision cutting is required, then this homemade product is not suitable for such work.
To make the cutter frame, you will need four pieces of polypropylene pipe with a diameter of 22 mm, a tee, a corner and three plastic plugs.
And first of all, it will be necessary to cut the polypropylene pipe to size. How to connect the blanks to each other, see the photo below.
The main stages of work
In the plug, which is put on the handle of the torch, it is necessary to drill a hole so that you can then install the connector for the power supply.
The next step is to drill another hole in the tee to install the button. After that, you can already proceed to the assembly of the structure. Pieces of pipes and fittings the author connects with glue.
The ends of the wire are led through vertical pipes. The author fastens them to the bolts that are screwed into the plugs. Then a nichrome wire is screwed onto the bolts.
