Candles have long been included in our everyday life, not only as light sources, but also as a beautiful decor or gift. We offer you a master class on making an unusual openwork candle - a watermelon slice.

For work, we need:

tin form;
2 paraffin candles;
candle mold;
wax crayons of red and green color;
ice;
thread for the wick;
dishwashing liquid.

Making a candle

First, grease the candle mold (in our case, it is a 250 ml plastic mug) with dishwashing liquid. This will prevent paraffin from sticking, and you can easily take out the finished candle.
For tin can take a can of canned food. To make it convenient to hold in your hand - do not completely cut off the lid, but bend the edges. Paraffin will be melted in a water bath, so prepare a small iron container with water so that the jar can be placed where the candle will melt.
We fix the wick to the form where the candle will be poured - drip with hot paraffin on the tip of the thread and fix on the bottom of the mug. So that the wick was in the middle, we fix it with a stick, twisting the thread on it.

We cut the paraffin candle into pieces and divide it into three parts (two equal and one more - into the flesh of the watermelon).

First we make a green crust of watermelon - three green wax pencils on a fine grater and place together with a part of paraffin in a water bath. Stir until lumps completely disappear. Immediately gently pour into the prepared form for the candle. Let's freeze.

Next will be a white layer. To do this, put pieces of white paraffin in a clean form for melting and melt it in a water bath. Pour into a mold on a green layer. We are waiting for complete cooling (can be placed in the freezer for half an hour).
For the upper part of the candle, grind a red wax pencil on a fine grater and melt it with paraffin until the lumps disappear. While the liquid is melting, prick the ice into small pieces and fill it up in a candle mold.

Immediately pour paraffin on top of the ice.

We leave it like this for a day - until the ice in the form melts. Pour water out of the mold and take out the finished candle. Trim the tip of the wick by 0.5 cm.
That's all - the openwork candle is ready. The truth is like a watermelon slice - you just want to bite a bite!
