Sometimes you may need a gift envelope for notes or postcards, or maybe for other gift trifles. And such an envelope does not have to be standard paper. You can diversify the look of this package by making the envelope knitted. Moreover, the basis may be one, but the design options are different.

The classic envelope is white. Therefore, choosing a white thread, you can support this classic. For simple knitting, you can use both knitting needles and a hook. The size is selected depending on the thickness of the threads, taking into account the fact that the knitting should be quite tight.

We take the necessary measurements to get the right envelope size. For convenience, we will make a layout of the paper envelope in the required sizes.
We start knitting with a chain of air loops, the length corresponding to the length of one of the sides of the envelope. At the same time, the knitting of the product can be obtained both along and across, depending on how you outlined the option for the envelope.

It turns out a rectangle with the sides you need to measure. We fold the rectangle into an envelope, i.e. we bend its lower part and knit the folded sides together, making out the edge of the envelope with columns without a crochet. We make the corners of the upper part rounded by knitting two single crochet in them.

We get a simple white envelope of the desired size. The highlight of it will be the design, which can be selected from what is at your disposal.

The decoration may be a flat bow or bow-strip. Such an envelope will resemble a small clutch bag. By the way, it can be used to store mirrors or lipstick.

Also, the envelope can be issued with an overlay applique or with colored buttons, giving it either childish naivety or a more strict, official image. A children's envelope can later become a school pencil case, and laconic and restrained packaging can be used to store headphones, chargers and other similar trifles.
