Dragons are found in the mythology of many peoples and are sometimes revered as sacred animals - we recall at least the Chinese dragon festival, in honor of which the kite festival is held annually. Fictional or real, dragons in the minds of many creatures are strong, powerful, huge, certainly fire-breathing and extremely beautiful. It’s very problematic to get such a life-size handsome man into your own hands, but quickly and easily make a miniature copy of it out of paper - as easy as shelling pears. This workshop will introduce you to one of the many ways to make an origami dragon.

All you need is a square sheet of paper of any size and a few free minutes.
To start, bend the sheet diagonally.

The resulting triangle also bends in half and again in half.

Next, expand the sheet to its original state and again bend diagonally.

On the resulting folds, fold the sheet into a double square and arrange it in the form of a rhombus, folds up.

Then bend the corners of the rhombus to the center on both sides.

Bend the rest of the top completely, do not forget to iron it high-quality, and then, having straightened it, lower the very corner of the upper part to the fold line, again ironing it.

Fully expand the sheet.

Notice that a small square appears in the center of the sheet. Gently begin to fold the workpiece around this square, and then bend it inward.

Then bend the protruding triangular parts inward so that a figure resembles a diamond.

Bend the protruding “ears” of the figure to the center, and then, following the photo, unfold the parts of the workpiece to the rhombus and fold the entire workpiece in half so that two acute-angled triangles are separated - the future head and tail, and two wings.

After we form the blank for the wings. To do this, bend the lower edge of the rhombus in different directions, then bending along the resulting lines.

We do the same on the other hand.

The remaining two points are folded so that they are parallel to the bent wings.

We bend each part of the future head and tail in half, then unfold and fold as in the photo - these are the paws of our dragon.

You can immediately bend them.

In order not to leave the beast headless, bend one of the head-tails perpendicular to the body and bend it in the opposite original direction, and then form its head with two small bends.

It doesn’t really matter which side your dragon will have its head on, and which side its tail.
The tail can be absolutely anything: it can be bent in a zigzag pattern, twisted, twisted, wrinkled - just let your imagination run wild!
