You need to start with the pattern. You can draw it yourself or print the finished one.
Next, you need to choose a fabric. When choosing, it is worth giving preference to high-quality, natural fabric, and its color and color should not be dark enough or too colorful.
When you have decided on the fabric and pattern, you can begin to manufacture blanks.
Having cut out all the elements of the pattern, we fix it, with the help of pins to the fabric and draw around the contour. We carry out this operation for all parts of the pattern. Do not forget about the required amount of each part (it is indicated on the pattern).
Then remove the pattern from the fabric and cut out each element, departing from the line a few millimeters for the seam.
Having done the blanks, you can start sewing. Stitching parts can be done manually or using a sewing machine (I did it manually) from the wrong side. Threads can be selected in tone to the fabric or to dilute the tone, take brighter tones.
Stitching the legs of the toy elements, it is worth considering that you need to leave a hole in order to turn them on the front side and fill them with filler.
As a filler can serve: cotton wool or synthetic winterizer for the head and ponytail, and fill the trunk and legs with buckwheat porridge or millet, this makes it possible for children to play with grains and develop motor skills with pens.
And in order for the tail to hold, we will install a wire in it, which for safety we wrap several balls with tape or tape (to avoid injury if the toy breaks).
When all the blanks are ready, you can safely fill them with filler and stitch them into a finished toy and start decorating it.
Eyes can be bought ready-made or 2 buttons can be used, as in my case, for beauty, I put 2 blue dots on them with nail polish. The nose is sewn of fabric and filled with cotton wool for volume. Antennae made of thread. As a decor, you can sew a scarf or a bow, Embroider various patterns on it or dress it in a suit, this is already a flight of your imagination.
