DRESS FOR THE DOLL

Probably every girl, while still a child, played with dolls, in particular, with her mother and daughter. What is most interesting, these dolls were not from ordinary families, but they were in the role of queens and princesses, they lived beautifully and beautifully, and most importantly, they wore luxurious magnificent dresses. And many girls imagined that the princesses and princesses were puppets. Years passed, but the fashion for magnificent dresses has almost sunk into oblivion and now such dresses can actually be seen either at dolls, or at weddings on brides or graduation parties. Thanks to my goddaughter, I decided to remember myself in her years. Therefore, if you have a wonderful daughter, a goddaughter, a little sister, or if you just want to make the girl something nice - go ahead and sew dresses for dolls.
And so, in order to create a magnificent dress that was in fashion during balls and duels, we need the following tools and materials:
- a doll (on which this dress will be sewn);
- fabric (I chose the reaper, as it is now in trend), the size depends on the doll you have chosen;
- buttons 2 - 3;
- threads with a needle (in tone of material for the dress);
- scissors;
-centimeter;
- satin ribbon.

And so, if you have not yet decided what details your dress will be, try to depict it on a piece of paper.

First, we will sew up dresses, which means we need to measure the length of the back from the shoulder blade to the waist and chest girth. And cut off this top layer.

To prevent the fabric from becoming torn, treat it with a match or a lighter and thread with a needle, namely, hem the edges with a regular stitch.

Next, we make holes for the hands. And then we again process it manually or by machine, if you have such an opportunity, these holes for the hands. Now we need to make a fluffy skirt. I decided to make a skirt of medium splendor and therefore (taking into account the size of my doll) I needed half a meter of material for our magnificent skirt.

First process the bottom of the skirt. We process stitches in manual or using a sewing machine. As for the top of the skirt, you and I are bending a centimeter (it would be nice to even process this overlock using the overlock technique) and make stitches of this type so that we can pick up the skirt, sometimes this seam is called the “assembled curtain effect”.

Having made half of this seam “the effect of assembled curtains”, measure this skirt on your doll, or rather on her waist, to know for sure how much or not you are annoyed to collect this skirt.

When you made a skirt, or rather the main seam of this skirt, then sew the edges, but not to the end! Leave room for buttons. After all, clothes should be changed, not sewn so that your doll is in only one clothes.

Now it’s up to small. Add a bow. To do this, we need a satin ribbon. Take your ribbon and tie a neat bow on the doll’s waist. It is possible in front, and it is possible behind, depending on your desire.

And so, your doll in a magnificent dress is ready! Congratulations! Now you can safely give the title of dressmaker dresses for dolls. Hurry to please your babies. Such a gift will be remembered for a long time!
