Hello, dear readers, today I will tell you about how to sew a good toy "Goat" for the New Year, which can be hung on a Christmas tree as a decoration. According to the ancient Eastern legend, toys sewn in the image of a symbol of the coming new year can bring happiness and good fortune. Our toy is not quite easy to manufacture, but it looks beautiful and pleases the eye.

To make a toy "Goat", we need:
1. Fabric for the head and legs (we have leather fabric from an old fur coat, it is saturated brown);
2. Cotton wool or synthetic winterizer, batting;
3. A fur ball for the body of a lamb (we used a small pompon from an old fur coat);
4. Colored, white A4 paper and adhesive tape for making eyes, hooves and horn;
5. Scissors, glue, threads (matching the color of the fabric of the future toy and black - for sewing the nose and mouth of a goat);
6. A small thin rope as a scarf;
7. Two parts for tightening wires as horn.

Our toy can be sewn both independently and with a sewing machine. If you sew it yourself, then it will be sewn with the soul. On a blank cardboard sheet we draw and cut out the head of a goat - a sample of its head. And then, jokes it to the fabric, we cut out the head according to the model, but without the horn (we removed the horns a bit later), - the right and left sides in turn.

From the parts for tightening the wires, we cut off the narrow ends and (thanks to incredible efforts!) Pierce the trimmed parts completely with a needle at the base.

We took a small piece of thread as a beard and began to connect both parts of the head with an external seam.
From below, "horns" are fastened with adhesive paper so that they do not come to the surface:

Having tried on a stitched head to the body and having compared the sizes, we cut off the excess part from the pompon and remove all the fur that is falling from it. Next, we must remove the old seam and sew up the pompon in a new way, having previously folded its fur edges inside. We didn’t have to fill the goat’s body with cotton, but we didn’t sew the lower side of the body, since the legs of the toy could be sewn there a little later.

From the same pompon, we previously cut off the "lace" from which we can now sew the front and rear legs, replacing the old seams in them with new ones. Inside it has a little firmly glued cotton wool, and the “cord” itself is strong and leather, so we don’t have to fill the legs prepared from it with cotton. We divide it into four parts:

We stuff the finished head of the toy with cotton or synthetic winterizer, at the back you can hem the second ear (if the horns were too thin), also filled with cotton, and then hem the head to the body, and then tie a narrow white lace around the neck like a scarf, for beauty.

Now you need to cut a piece of black paper and fold it four times. On one side we’ll draw a pair of hooves: one for the front legs, the other for the back. You get only eight hooves:

After we cut them, they need to be glued in pairs so that four hooves are obtained. And then we glue them on top with tape and attach toys to the legs:

Having sewn all goat legs equally in size, we take up its horns: they need to be wrapped with white paper. Cut an even thin piece from an A4 sheet and cut it into small pieces. We wrap the horns on top of them in a circle, gluing the ends to the back of the horns to the paper, and then gluing the paper on the outside with transparent tape.

From color and white paper we make eyes: first we cut white, large circles, after them brown ones — smaller; and then black ones (pupils), which we make the smallest in size.

Of all the circles, we make up the eyes by gluing them with tape, and attach them also to the head of the toy:

The last detail remains: we sew a thread to our toy on top so that it can stay on a Christmas tree branch. We got a small, but cute, funny and beautiful toy "Goat" on the Christmas tree with his own hands.
